Williamsburg historical kits
Colonial Williamsburg created kits to replicate what life was like in the 18th century. The titles are Soldier's Haversack, Lady's Pocket, and Slave's Bag. Each kit provides samples that look authentic, and give students a real feel for life in the past.

CEMaT in a Box by author
CEMaT in a Box requests more than doubled during the 2009-10 school year, and kept us scurrying to find resources to fill some requests for resources by specific authors. You can now search on our online catalog for Tomie de Paola, Jan Brett, Eric Carle, and Dr. Seuss and find, not only books, but puzzles, games, puppets, DVDs, and lesson plan ideas using these authors' books. Which of these authors do we have the most resources for? Dr. Seuss came in just ahead of Eric Carle with 68 and 65 respectively, and Tomie de Paola and Jan Brett tied with 44 each. One of the new hands-on resources is The Mitten, a real mitten with animals to stuff into it as you read the Mitten by Jan Brett. If you have another favorite author, just let us know.
